Our Story:

“By and For Students”

The Jacobs Center for Health Innovation teamed up with UC San Diego students to develop a mental health and well-being app for their peers. Recognizing the unique challenges of student life, we co-designed Willo, an app made by and for students. Our collaborative approach ensures that the app is supportive and relatable, providing the necessary resources to prioritize mental well-being. We are dedicated to making this journey a little easier for everyone in our Triton community.

The team worked with UC San Diego students for two years, involving them as co-designers and end-users. This involved a series of activities such as interviews, workshops, surveys, and user testing. The aim was to create a user experience that addresses their immediate challenges and allows them to easily find helpful services within one app in a seamless manner.
